Today is World Burger Day. If you are a lover of this food, how about dressing it with a sauce sweetened with Monk®?
Here we share some ideas of dressings that you can prepare to give a special touch to your burgers. Take note!
Vegan tartar sauce
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of vegan
1 tbsp red or white onion (grated)
1 tbsp canned pickles (chopped)
1 tbsp green olives or capers (chopped)
1 tbsp parsley (finely chopped)
1 tsp apple (grated)
1 pinch of salt and pepper (to taste)
1 pinch of Monk®
1 tsp grated turmeric or prepared mustard (optional)
PREPARATION:
- Add all the ingredients into a bowl (except the mustard and salt).
- Mix them with a wooden spoon, in an enveloping manner.
- Taste and adjust the salt and pepper, if necessary.
mango chutney
INGREDIENTS:
3 ripe mangoes
⅓ cup of Monk®
225 milliliters of vinegar
1½ tablespoons of cinnamon powder
1½ tablespoons curry
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 unit of onion
1 clove garlic
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of chili powder (optional)
PREPARATION:
- Peel and cut the mango into small pieces.
- Mix the mango with all the spices. The idea is that it forms like a puree with some whole pieces of fruit. Leave this preparation marinating overnight.
- The next day, finely chop the onion and garlic and add this to the mango puree. Add the rest of the ingredients of the recipe and stir until distributed more or less evenly.
- Cook the mango over low heat for about 60-90 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. The result should have a jam-like texture.
- Let it rest and when the mango chutney has reached room temperature, store it in the refrigerator in a glass jar.
Jack Daniel's BBQ Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
200 grams of sugar-free ketchup
50 ml Jack Daniel's whiskey
20 ml of Monk® Honey
40 ml apple cider vinegar
10 ml lemon juice
10 ml Worcestershire sauce
10 ml soy sauce
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp garlic powder
PREPARATION:
- Pour all the foods into a saucepan and mix very well, until they are completely integrated. Cook over medium heat.
- When it starts to boil, reduce the heat and continue cooking over low heat.
- Wait until the mixture reduces, approximately 10-15 minutes. You will know that the sauce is ready when the alcohol has evaporated and the mixture has body (thickness).
- Before consuming it, place the sauce in a container to cool. You can store what is left in a tightly closed container and keep it in the refrigerator.
EXTRA TIP FOR ANY OF THESE SAUCES: You can thicken the sauces with Cream 'n heal . In addition to giving them more consistency, your dressings will be healthier due to the power of microdoses of adaptogenic mushrooms.
