Children's Day is approaching and it is time to celebrate the little ones in the house. Healthy desserts can be an excellent option to enjoy this special occasion.

HOTCAKE SKEWERS
To prepare the dough:
2 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons of Monk®
1 1/2 cups milk or slurry
1/2 cup butter or ghee
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the skewers:
2 bananas
1 cup of strawberries
Monk® Glass to decorate
Procedure:
- In a bowl, mix the flour, egg, salt, baking powder and Monk® granules.
- Gradually add the milk or slurry and, without stopping stirring, add the butter and vanilla extract. Mix until completely integrated and then set aside.
- In a frying pan over medium heat, add butter or ghee and with the help of a ladle, form mini pancakes, cook on both sides.
- Cut the bananas and strawberries into slices, set aside.
- Insert a piece of strawberry, a pancake and a banana onto the skewer sticks; Intersperse until you reach the end, serve on a spread plate and decorate with Monk® Glass.
FRUIT PALETTES
Ingredients:
1 L of coconut water
Monk® Honey to taste
½ cup sliced strawberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup of grapes
Preparation:
- Mix the coconut water with Monk® Honey until it is sweet to your liking. Consider that fruit is also sweet.
- Distribute the fruit into popsicle molds.
- Pour the water into the molds. Place popsicle sticks or the one included with the utensil.
- Freeze for at least 3 hours and keep that way until serving.
- Enjoy!
*You can include the seasonal fruits that you like the most.
OATMEAL AND NUTS COOKIES
Ingredients
185 grams of wheat flour
270 grams of oats
150 grams of dried red fruits
60 gr of granulated Monk®
226 grams of butter or ghee
1 cup whole walnuts
2 eggs
½ teaspoon yeast
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Procedure:
- In a bowl, mix the flour with the yeast and salt.
- In another bowl, pour the butter or ghee and Monk®. Mix well with a mixer for about 3 or 4 minutes until you get a light yellow cream.
- Add the eggs and continue beating until perfectly incorporated.
- Add the vanilla and beat all the ingredients again.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
- Add the oats, cinnamon, nuts and dried fruits and mix so that the ingredients are integrated.
- Wrap with transparent paper and store the dough in the freezer for about 20 minutes.
- After that time, take out the dough and shape the cookies.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 170º.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Leave a space of about 5 centimeters between them and avoid flattening them too much.
- Bake for 15 minutes until the edges turn golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool.
- Serve with your favorite drink and enjoy!
