Salsa Tamarindo

6 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 2 cups of tamarind pulp
  • 1 piece of marinated chipotle chili
  • 1 tablespoon MONK
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

Preparation:

  • Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, cook the garlic, onion and tamarind pulp and let it come to a boil.
  • Lower the heat, add the chipotle chili in adobo and the MONK. Cook for 5 minutes and cool slightly.
  • Blend the sauce until you obtain a homogeneous and smooth mixture. Return to the pot and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve hot or cold.
