Pear Salad with Honey-Bacon Dressing


Ingredients:


4 cups of spinach

3 pears

½ cup walnut

60 milliliters of olive oil

15 milliliters of apple cider vinegar

45 milliliters of Monk ® maple-flavored honey

100 grams of smoked bacon


PREPARATION:


  1. Brown the bacon until crispy.
  2. Drain the oil from the bacon and add the olive oil, vinegar and Monk ® maple-flavored honey; stir until all the ingredients are mixed.

3.Cut the pears into very thin slices.

  1. Mix the pears, spinach and walnut.
  2. Serve the salad with Monk ® maple-flavored honey dressing and bacon, you can add turkey or chicken.


Sweet and Sour Roasted Sweet Potato Salad with Bacon


3 yellow sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into medium cubes

2 cups brussels sprouts

6 slices of bacon cut into medium cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ teaspoon thyme

½ teaspoon rosemary

2 teaspoons of salt

1 teaspoon pepper

½ cup chopped walnuts

3 tablespoons maple-flavored Monk® honey

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons of salt

1 teaspoon pepper


  1. Remove the outer leaves from the brussels sprouts, cut the stem at the bottom and slice in half.
  2. Preheat the oven to 220ºC and cover a baking tray with wax paper.
  3. Mix the sweet potato with the brussels sprouts, bacon, olive oil, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the vegetables on the baking sheet and make sure they do not overlap.
  5. Bake at 220ºC for 30 minutes and stir every 10 minutes so that they cook evenly.
  6. Add walnuts after 23 minutes; Remove the tray from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
  7. Pour the maple-flavored Monk® honey , balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper into a small pot ; Cook over medium-low heat for three minutes and stir constantly.
  8. Cover the vegetables with the maple-flavored Monk® honey glaze , mix well and serve the sweet potato salad.

Bonus Recipe: Honey Mustard Salad Dressing


3 tablespoons mustard

3 teaspoons maple-flavored Monk® honey

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

4 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Mix the mustard, Monk® maple-flavored honey and balsamic vinegar until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  2. Add the olive oil and whisk to emulsify the dressing.
  3. Season the honey mustard dressing with freshly ground pepper.
